What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture refers to the insertion of solid filiform (or hair-like) needles into acupuncture points (acupoints) on the body.  The acupoints are selected according to the theories and principles of traditional Chinese medicine for the purpose of restoring balance to the body, harmonizing yin and yang.  Acupuncture and its adjunctive modalities are relatively painless and safe, with little to no side effects.  All acupuncture needles are certified by the FDA and are single use, disposable needles made of surgical stainless steel.
